There has been quite a revolution in floriculture in Sohryngkham, a village in the East Khasi Hills, district of Meghalaya. Shri Genister Warlarpih a resident of this village is one such example and his achievement is commendable. Shri Genister a local trader use to support his family with an earning of Rs 4000/- per month, being a person who loves flowers he also use to grow various seasonal flowers and since he possess entrepreneurial skills he was able to generate some income by selling potted flowers seasonally. He is now able to garner an additional income from the sale of his flowers, thereby increasing his total monthly income.  This has given him inspiration to expand his floriculture business . He has become an example in his village and others are also inspired seeing his success.
